My first day in PEI was pretty eventful. We woke up around 9 and went down at low tide for our first sandbar walk. Being a non swimmer and someone who hates stepping on rocks and seaweed, it was pretty cool. It took awhile to get over the fact that there were things in the water like crabs, clams and star fish. But I managed to get over my fears and even hold a star fish and a hermit crab! All in all for my first sandbar walk, it was pretty amazing.
After our walk, we went into Charlottetown for some lunch and groceries. Even for the capital city, it was pretty rural. Brian and I went to the Paderno warehouse sale and bought $900 worth of kitchen supplies for only $390! And that even includes the shipping and handling!
We made it back to the cottage and prepared dinner. Everyone from each cottage contributed to the meal and we all ate outside. It’s not every night that you can eat dinner next to the Atlantic ocean. We then played SPUD until Brian knocked the day lights out of me and we retired back to the cottage to play Bang and Liars dice. Eventually we moved onto the drinking games and lets just say we polished off a fair share of the beer.
It’s been raining all day today so we haven’t been up to much. We left the cottage for a bit to grab some lunch. I got to go to Cows ice cream and picked up a towel and a T-shirt. Anyways hope everyone is doing well … I’m going to continue bumming around now!
